Folger Shakespeare Library http://www.folger.edu/Content/Teach-and-Learn/Teaching-Resources/Teaching-Sonnets/

This site provides teachers with resources on teaching Shakespeare. What I found most useful was the section on teaching sonnets. It provides step by step lesson plans to teach a whole unit on just sonnets. In addition, the history of sonnets and more about the structure of a sonnet is elaborated as well. This will give us more ideas on how to conduct our lessons. There are also sections on the website where one can find out more about theatres during Shakespeare's time as well as be provided with resources such as study guides and audio and visual clips. However, I stress that all resources should be tweaked to cater to the objectives of our lesson plan. Also, the study guides may not be very comprehensive and accurate for the students' consumption.
