This website provides a detailed description of why teaching literature is important and how. The various ways to question students about different texts is also provided. I like the idea about devising a warmer to get students to think about the theme or the topic of the lesson before introducing the topic to them. In a way, trying to engage the prior knowledge that students have might help them to comprehend and appreciate the lesson in a more effective manner. Although it is intended for EFL/ESL classes, the proposed lesson plans can be utilised when we are teaching literature.
